Recently we’ve celebrated the success of our team during Quarter 1 of this year. Neslo is off to an amazing start in 2021, with orders exceeding our expectations. We are lucky to have continued to be able to work throughout the pandemic, despite all these changes to our procedures. However, we feel a particular mention needs to go to our brilliant warehouse team, headed up by Matt, who have worked consistently hard throughout this pandemic. As we all know the last year has been full of ups and downs, in a very unpredictable business sector.
The measures that we as businesses, and our customers, have had to adapt and adhere to have been hugely disruptive. Needless to say, these have been pressing times for us all. The fact that our warehouse has been running successfully whilst also ensuring social distancing has been taking place is remarkable and could not have happened without the dedication of the team. They have been able to work together efficiently as a team even throughout the restrictions, maintaining productivity and a positive attitude.
Since March 2020, the volume of items being processed and leaving the warehouse can go from the bare minimum to a huge amount in the space of one day, as due to Covid 19 and Brexit, the larger uncertainty in the construction sector has led to companies either rushing to get their jobs finished or postponing their projects indefinitely.
Decisions on projects going ahead have often had to have been made in line with government updates, or rescheduled at the last minute, which has made prioritising the workload a little difficult from time to time. Alongside checking all our orders for quality and processing the correct items on each order our team work hard on bespoke orders, doing everything from cutting frames to size and milling out spaces for hinges and strike plates.
The fact that all our orders have been processed and machined in a timely manner despite the ever changing business levels is a credit to how well our team can pull together and rise to a challenge. (Although Matt himself will admit that it’s not been without a few choice words at times!)
They really are our unsung heroes.
